At Adx Energía, we believe that the best service is the one that fits your requirements. That’s why we offer rates specially designed for household electricity consumption. So you can choose between a fixed or indexed price rate, depending on what best suits your needs.

The main difference between the two is that in the Fixed Rate, the price per kilowatt per hour is maintained for a determined period of time (usually a year), so you always pay the same amount, regardless of how it fluctuates in the market.

On the contrary, in the Indexed Rate, the price per kilowatt per hour is established based on the wholesale electricity market; thus, the amount could vary.

The decision between fixed or variable electricity rate depends on different factors: the energy consumption of the supply, the daily habits of the household and the size of the dwelling. If you prefer to agree on a specific cost per kW in order to be able to predict the amount of your bill, we recommend a fixed rate. If you prefer to take advantage of market price drops to lower your electricity costs, we recommend a variable rate.

In any case, we invite you to consult our customer service so that they can explain in depth the differences between the two rates, as well as their characteristics and benefits, in order to choose the rate that best suits your needs.

In order to calculate the ideal capacity for a household, it is necessary to take into account the size of the house, the number of electrical appliances and their use (if they are used simultaneously, if they are high consumption appliances, etc), as well as the number of people in the household and the type of heating. Generally, between 3.45 kW and 5.75 kW is recommended for an average household in Spain.

To calculate the capacity of electricity for your home, you must:

  1. add up the wattage consumption of the appliances in use at the same time,
  2. convert that total to kilowatts (divide by 1,000).

The result of that division is the required power to be contracted.

Example of the consumption of the appliances that consume the most electricity:

  • Refrigerator: between 0.45 and 0.8 kWh
  • Tumble dryer: between 1.1 and 4 kWh
  • Dishwasher: between 0.4 and 0.8 kWh
  • Oven: between 0.6 and 0.9 kWh
  • Television: between 0.2 and 0.4 kWh
  • Desktop computer: between 0.12 and 0.6 kWh
  • Laptop computer: between 0.3 and 0.15 kWh

To calculate your simultaneous consumption, consult and add up the power of the appliances you use in your home.

The average consumption of electricity in a household in Spain is usually between 200 and 350 kWh per month.

What is the PVPC rate?

The acronym PVPC refers to the Voluntary Price for the Small Consumer (Precio Voluntario para el Pequeño Consumidor in Spanish), an electricity supply rate that is regulated by the Spanish Government.

Do you have the PVPC rate at Adx Energía?

The PVPC rate is offered by reference marketers. Only these companies designated by the government are in charge of managing the ocntracting of this regulated rate.

What is the TUR (Last Resort Rate)?

The TUR rate (Tarifa de Último Recurso in Spanish) is a government regulated rate in Spain for the supply of natural gas, similar to the PVPC for electricity.

Do you offer the TUR rate at Adx Energía?

The TUR rate can only be offered by the reference marketers, which are companies appointed by the government to manage this regulated gas rate.
