When we talk about a fixed gas rate we refer to the price of the Energy Term (€/kWh), a system by which a price is established and is maintained for the entire duration of the contract to protect the customer from possible fluctuations in the market and facilitate the planning of monthly energy expenses.

To sign up for a fixed gas rate with Adx Energía, simply contact us by phone, online or in person. We will ask you for the details of the supply’s holder and, if possible, the last bill of the cycle to manage the change.

To calculate the price of gas with fixed rates, multiply the price established in your contract by the amount of €/kWh you consume. Add the fixed charges and pplicables taxes and you will get the total cost of your bill.

What is the fixed gas price / charge?

The fixed gas term is a monthly charge independent of consumption, which serves to cover the distribution infrastructure and other operating expenses, and its amount depends on your annual consumption.

How is the fixed gas term calculated?

To calculate the fixed gas term, simply multiply the contracted price by the total number of days billed.

What types of gas rates are there?

At Adx Energía, we offer two types of natural gas rates so you can choose the one that best suits you:

  • Fixed rate: for a given period, the price of gas per unit will always be the same. This offers stability and protection agaist possible price rises, although it does not allow you to benefit from price drops and may also have penalties for early cancellation.
  • Indexed rate: the price varies according to changes in the market, and can generate savings, but also the possibility of paying higher amounts, adding the uncertainty of not knowing exactly what the final monthly cost will be.

Which rate is best for gas?

The best gas rate will depend on your consumption and preferences at the time of contracting the service. If you prefer to be able to prevent your monthly expenses and enjoy a high level of stability, as well as protect yourself from price increases, the fixed rate is ideal. If, on the other hand, you are willing to assume the risk of fluctuations in market prices are are not afraid of the uncertainty that your monthly costs may have, the indexed rate is for you. The best way to make the right decision is to analyze your consumption and market trends.

What is the difference between regulated and free rates?

In the regulated rate, prices are set by the government and have to be respected. In contrast, in the free rate, the companies are in charge of setting the prices according to the market supply and demand, so there is much more choice and flexibility.

How do I know what type of gas rate I have?

What is the cheapest gas rate called?

It does not have a particular name and it is not a specific rate. Depending on consumption, usage schedules and market prices, a fixed or indexed rate may be more expensive or cheaper.
